It’s the season of Advent – 24 days of anticipation and preparation for Christmas Day. Originally this was meant to focus on religious preparations to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. Over time it has grown to include many secular traditions, including Advent Calendars where one door or box is opened each day from December 1st-24th. This year I intend to mark the Advent season each day by posting the picture of a Christmas ornament and a bit of story. Nothing too deep or philosophical here – just little essays celebrating some of the small moments that make up the life of our family.
